You have all selected your favorite grand prize winning couple for the “I Want My Wedding at Velas Resorts” contest! The winning couple of the grand prize – a dream beach wedding in Mexico at Velas Resorts – is……..drumroll please……David & Terri! Congratulations and thank you for your entry!
Thank you to ALL of you who entered our contest, we had over 201 great participants in the end! Whether it was entering yourself in the mix or sending in a story and photo of a family/friend you knew, all of you submitted such beautiful entries and we thank you for sharing your stories with us!
Selecting the 14 top finalists was a very difficult decision to make, but after much deliberation and debate, the Velas Communications Committee decided upon the top finalists based on the pair’s history as a couple and the creativity shown in their photo. After that, opening the votes up to the public proved to be an exciting 2 week process, with the Top 5 couples changing frequently! Thanks to all of you who voted and made this such a fun contest!
For the 2nd prize winner, the Velas Communications Committee selected a couple based on the most creative entry submitted. Congratulations to Mariel & Checo for their creative photo!

El final del concurso ‘Quiero mi boda en Velas Resorts’
El increíble concurso ‘Quiero mi boda en Velas Resorts’ ha llegado a su fin y tiene ya una feliz pareja ganadora… ¡elegida por todos ustedes! Sonido de fanfarrias y… los ganadores son:
David y Terry, que disfrutarán la boda de sus sueños en una de las playas más bellas de México. ¡Felicidades y muchas gracias por participar!
La tarea de seleccionar a 14 finalistas de entre 201 fotos increíbles representó gran dificultad para el Comité de Comunicación: muchas historias llenas de romance, anécdotas, momentos increíbles; cada foto significó mucho para todos los involucrados en la selección.
Después llegó el momento de seleccionar al ganador del Segundo premio, una lujosa luna de miel para la foto que conjugara composición, iluminación, punto focal, textura, pero sobretodo, creatividad. La foto que, a juicio del Comité de Comunicación, contenía cada uno de estos elementos fue la foto de Mariel & Checo. Muchas felicidades por su foto tan creativa.
