Danielle Wilkins visits the Riviera Nayarit
By Haydé Escalante
Danielle Wilkins, associate editor of Wedding Magazine in the UK, recently visited the region of Vallarta-Nayarit. It was her first time in this mystical and magical country and she shared her experience with Velas Weddings in the stunning Bay of Banderas.
Part of her itinerary included visiting some of the places surrounding All-Inclusive resort Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit. Among them were La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, a traditional fishing village with a new marina that promises to be one of a kind; Bucerías, meaning “place of divers”, which is a small beach town perfect for surfing, fishing, snorkeling and more; San Francisco, also known as the sublime San Pancho, and lastly Sayulita; a surfer town with a relaxed vibe and colorful streets.
Danielle Wilkins mentioned how wonderful and lovely her experience was in the Riviera Nayarit, comparing its gorgeous year round weather with the climate in her home town. She was also impressed by the beautiful landscapes; a combination of the pristine waters of the Mexican Riviera and the lavish flora of the tropical forest.
Moreover she highlighted the flavors of Mexican cuisine, which she says was the best part of the experience. Between the typical seafood dishes of the region and traditional Mexican specialties she was able to delight in a range of authentic gourmet options. Danielle Wilkins also samples the culinary experience offered by AAA Four Diamond restaurant Frida; Chef José Manuel Gordian selected a special tasting menu for her, paired with a selection of Mexican wines.
At the end of her trip she summed up her visit to the Riviera Nayarit was lovely and expressed that she wouldn’t hesitate to come back in the future.
